High Commissioner of Nigeria to Australia Rectify Hike in Administrative Fee, After Debunking the Implementation

After the recent outburst of concern over the notification of change and adjustment on administrative fee for consular services, the Acting High Commissioner of Nigeria to Australia, in Canberra Ambassador Dr Jane Bassey Adams, has confirmed that consular and administrative fees have NOT been increased.

Dr Adams indicated that "although letters were initially issued to that effect, but it was immediately withdrawn for further consultations" in response to concerns circulating within sections of the Nigerian scholars regarding alleged changes in service charges.

In line with their commitment, the High Commissioner has taken swift action to halt the implementation of the proposed administrative fee adjustment. The High Commission confirmed that the reversal is now fully in effect and urged Nigerian scholars, students, and professionals across Australia to take note of this development.
